Before You Head To The Atlanta Courthouse Consider Doing This:
Prior to attending a court hearing at the Atlanta Municipal Court, it’s crucial to verify your court date and time. This can be done in one of two ways:
- To find your court case, simply visit the Atlanta Municipal Court’s website, enter your full name or citation number here. Searching by citation number will bring up information specific to your case, whereas a name search might bring up several cases by case number. These case numbers begin with the year the case was opened, which could help you narrow your search. Cases up to 20 years old should still be accessible.

Missing Your Courtdate At Atlanta Municipal Court Is NOT Recommended
Matters can become complicated when clients fail to appear in court. If you do, the court will remove your case from the calendar and may issue a bench warrant for your arrest. Fail to address this within thirty (30) days and the Atlanta Municipal Court will send information to the Georgia Department of Driver Services resulting in the suspension of your driver’s license or your privilege to drive in the State of Georgia. To lift this, your case must be resolved to reclaim your driving privileges.
